Warrior Prayers Day 7-Honor

09/11/2011

“There may never be an opportunity for your sons to rush to the aid of a damsel in distress or defend her honor like in times of old, but it never hurts to use stories of a knight in shining armor to teach them about honor.”

I think it’s ingrained in our boys…to want to be men of honor.  That’s why they run around acting like super heroes or knights.  I’m glad we are praying for this for our sons….it’s something that is so lacking in our world today.  I hope our boys can be a generation to change that.

Now would be a good time to recommend my favorite book for little boys, His Mighty Warrior by Sheri Rose Shepherd.  I absolutely love it!  Click here to buy the book from Amazon.

Mommy Prayer day 7:  Lord I pray that these women who love their sons so much, continue to lift them up to be mighty warriors for you.  I pray our sons will grow to be men of honor, and honor You above all.

Thanks again for all of your encouragement Jennifer! Even though Lukas’ personality is just beginning to show and I am unsure of how specific to pray for him right now, I’m so grateful to be doing this study and learning scripture to pray over him for years to come.

I’m so glad you are enjoying it. I am really liking it! I know, when I come to Boston, I more pray for wisdom for me to know how to best pray for him/raise him. Of course I need it for all of them, I just know more about the other boys bents/temptations/gifts, etc. I have little cards that are very similar for husbands. I need to do that more often!
