The Boy Who Changed the World by Andy Andrews

09/07/2010

The Boy Who Changed the World teaches kids that their actions really do make a difference.  Every choice does matter!  It is essentially the Butterfly Effect for children.  The book shows how the world was changed by the choices of Norman Borlaug, Henry Wallace, George Washington Carver, and Moses Carver.  It shows how a choice by one of them effected each of them, and then eventually the world.  It teaches kids that THEY can change the world!

I LOVE this book!  It’s a keeper!  Sometimes it’s so easy to think that one person can’t make a difference, and then we are reminded by a book like this that it’s possible!  In fact, we were made to.  After all, as Christians, this is something we need to remember daily!!  We could be the one that God uses to bring someone to Him….or to feed two billion people, as in the book.  This is for sure a book I will read over and over to my boys to remind them, that every decision they make matters!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good book with a good message and wonderful illustrations!
